IF - Rest in PEACE, Big Brother!

Losing my brother in September was extremely hard — and it makes it even super hard especially around the holidays. But, I know he is in a better place now and I bet ya - probably even cooking up his famous beef curry for my grandma, Lucia (rest her soul). Rest in PEACE, Chuck and to all my departed loved ones. We'll miss you always.

I was at my Moms house a little bit after you lost your brother, I read your post about him to my sister and just broke down crying. It seems like yesterday and yet it seems like a long time ago! I'm so happy that you painted this beautiful tribute to your bro, included your grandma and that it shines with humour, love, memories and an understanding to seize the day! Have great days Michele!

This is so very sweet and close to the heart, which is how I see many of your illustrations. I'm sure they're all enjoying that curry (and maybe even some adobo and lechon) right now. Happy Holidays Michelle!

That's a touching post. Well, I think the best way to deal with such loss is to think that they are not at a better place (Yes I do believe!), and they are there to accompany our other departed loved ones. Be strong Michelle! Nice one for IF.

This is such a touching illustration, and a beautiful way to think of your brother. The holidays are very hard when you're missing someone who's passed away... I know our family always misses my father whenever we gather together. It does help to know that wherever our departed loved ones are, they are at peace. Have a Happy New Year!

Michelle, I'm sorry to hear about your brother...it must be very hard, but drawing surely is one way to 'let things out' as they say and therefore be able to better deal with the situation...I sure hope you do.

Have a wonderful new year!
