hi michelle
you have such a cute style, love our figures =) great halloween piece!
We dont celebrate halloween in sweden. why do you do it, what is the reason?
The illo is great as usual off course!
hmmmm... My english stinks I know!
Great entry! Love the sense of fun here and the expression in the crying girl's face.
Wonderful illustration!! Very cute style!!!
very cool illo mitchie! i like the "trouble" one also :-) i think you should send your cartoons to the new yorker magazine :-)
to swahnen: it's the same as alla helgons dag, but it's a bigger deal in the US. halloween's original purpose, as i understand it, was to dress up in scary costumes and frighten off all the evil spirits before the religous holiday that follows -- all saints day.
but now, kids walk around the neighborhood after dark, knock on doors and say "trick or treat!" -- which usually earns them a gift of candy -- a treat -- from the people inside. if they don't get any candy, they might perform a "trick" on the house -- usually a harmless prank such as decorating a tree with toilet paper.
it reminds me of guy fawkes day in the UK.
it's also becoming a popular occasion in the U.S. for costume parties for children and adults alike
Oh how fun! I think this is a very good entry for B&O! Also liked your 'Trouble' post for IF :)

Wishing you strength and my best wishes in the weeks and months ahead.
