Oh, Michelle, I'm sorry about your brother. That muct be very hard. It is weird how we can feel in some way connected to people we don't really know.
I hope your family and you are fine after all. I'm truly sorry.
Eek, I'm scared of heights too. My husband has done skydiving once, but the thought horrifies me. I sympathise with that poor little bird!

cute illo - wish all baby birdies had a 'chute, b/c I bet it's scary when their mama shoves them out of the nest for the first time!
A fun and light illustration at such a dark time for you. I'm so so sorry to hear about your brother, Michelle. I have two brothers myself. You've inspired me to call them more often.
Keep up the drawing cause it's always been a kind of chicken soup for me in troubled times.
My best wishes to you and your family.
Great picture! Very cool.
Totally great! This really made me smile. The shadow behind the one wing really works and is a pleasant, subtle surprise.
Very clean drawing, great idea!
Adorable!
WICKED!! Awesome idea
Great illustration. I always thought that birds felt pretty safe, being able to spring away at a moments notice. This could be the start of a serious problem.

A bird who's got the fear of flying even though he's got the wings and the power to fly. I have a feeling there's a metaphor for our lives in their somewhere. Thank you for taking the time to leave a nice comment on my blog, even with all you're going through right now. Your brother's last words to you are very powerful. I'm so sorry for your loss but thank you for the reminder to call my sister and tell her I love her.
